Holy Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2011
Namaste & Good Morning.
Returned this AM from Kathmandu after completing the Parikrama at Kailash Mansarovar and having Muktinath Darshan. We were part of the group which went to Kailash from June 10 to June 23.
We were a team of 2, comprising of my father, Shri. P.M.Balasubramanian (Age: 73 years) and myself B.Aparna. We did the parikrama at Kailash and after this had the darshan of Muktinath. We had booked the package through Ms. Sujatha from Samrat Travels, Salem, India.
All the arrangements made by you was simply marvellous. The team right from Ms. Sujatha, Mr. Jyoti to Mr. Devi (Guide) and Ms. Hang Tse (Tibet Guide) did an fabulous job. Further more, the sherpas and the chefs were always working extra hard to make us comfortable in high altitude. It is easier said than done. After travelling for 8-10 hours, instantly they were on their foot giving hot water, tea, taking care of luggage and moreover providing hot food. Very difficult, yet they did the job unconditionally and were always gracious. To be very honest, it was a great learning experience personally. Come what may, they were always more than happy to help.
Would like to thank you and the entire team both in India, Nepal and Tibet for all the excellent arrangements. Thank you once again and will definitely ensure that we partake in the yatra once again next year with God's grace.

Mount Kailash & Manasarovar Yatra 2007
I had the opportunity to go for Holy Kailash Manasarovar yatra four times. Entire Samrat team was so co-operative and their service was excellent. Bio: Originally from North Dakota I came to the NASA/Johnson Space Center much like many around me - through the cooperative education program when I was in college.
I've thoroughly enjoyed my early career here at NASA working new technologies and exciting projects, and feel fortunate for the great opportunities I have had.
Besides work, one of the ways I get enjoyment in life is when I am exploring new places and challenging myself; hence I am very much looking forward to the trip to Mt. Everest.
I have recently read "The Climb" and "Into Thin Air" which highlight the extreme challenges and risks that exist in climbing Mt. Everest (as well as watching the "Everest" Discovery Channel series) and am excited about visiting the Base Camp of this prodigious mountain.

Bio: Born and raised in Jamestown, NY... one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. in my opinion. Went to undergrad at SUNY Buffalo (that's State University of New York if you're wondering) where I majored in Aerospace Engineering. Received a co-op position at NASA/JSC and after graduation started full-time at the "dream job". Went away to grad school for a year and received a Masters in Space & Planetary Sciences. Decided one degree wasn't enough and am currently finishing my last class (THANK GOD) for my second Masters in Space Operations.
Outside of work, I love to run. Playing lacrosse is a close second, as is painting, mountain biking, skiing, golfing,... you name it. I've realized that life is way too short and any and every opportunity we have to make the most of it should never be passed up. That's why this trip to Everest will be one heck of an adventure!

I thought I'd done sufficient homework before I left the U.K. Thought the choice of Trekking agency would be easy but when I arrived in Kathmandu, there were hundreds of agencies to choose from, all offering pretty much the same, then I found at SAMRAT TREKS & EXPEDITION (P.) LTD. Al last all the boxes ticked. All I wanted was a responsible agency that wasn't going to rip me off and would act on its claim of being on eco - tourism service provider! SAMRAT TREKS & EXPEDITION (P.) LTD. ( Nepal ) exceeded my expectations. I knew was I was getting, There were no hidden extras, my guide was informative and resourceful, he was insured and so was my porter. I was supplied with safe drinking water, which not only saved me a bundle of cash. I was delighted that I wasn't adding to Nepal 's own Bottle in mountain. Most importantly, they were professional and I could trust them.
